SADHANA — Practice the Path
Sadhana is conscious, disciplined spiritual practice. It transforms philosophy from words on a page into living reality. Ground yourself in steady Asana, master the vital winds through Pranayama, direct subtle energies with Mudras & Bandhas, and commit to life-changing 21-Day, 40-Day, and 108-Day Sadhana journeys.
Transformational Practice Journeys
Structured sadhana disciplines calibrated to establish new neural and energetic pathways.
21-Day Practice
Breaks inertia (Tamas). Consists of 15 minutes daily: 5 min Nadi Shodhana, 5 min stillness, 5 min study of Sutra 1.1–1.21.
40-Day Practice
A traditional spiritual Mandala (40–48 days). Deepens breath retention (Kumbhaka), integrates 108 Japa repetitions, and stabilizes focus.
108-Day Practice
Complete immersion. Aligns all 196 Sutras with daily meditation, Trataka, selfless Seva, and establishes an unshakable core of peace.
The Yogic Practice Treasury
Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodhana)
Sit with spine erect. Place left hand in Chin Mudra. Use right thumb to close right nostril, inhale slowly through left for 4 counts. Close both with ring finger and thumb, hold gently. Release right nostril and exhale for 4 counts. Inhale right, hold, exhale left. That completes one round. Complete 10 rounds.
Skull Shining Breath (Kapalabhati)
Sit upright in Sukhasana or Padmasana. Inhale passively, then contract abdominal muscles sharply to expel air through both nostrils. The inhalation happens automatically as belly relaxes. Practice 3 rounds of 30 strokes.
Steady Seat of Contemplation
Choose a grounded seat (Siddhasana, Sukhasana, or chair). Ensure hips are slightly higher than knees. Crown of head reaches toward the sky while sit-bones root firmly. Release tension in shoulders, tongue, and eyelids.
Chin Mudra (Gesture of Consciousness)
Join the tip of index finger (individual soul) with tip of thumb (Universal Consciousness), forming a circle. Extend other three fingers relaxed. Rest hands palms down on knees.
Root Lock (Mula Bandha)
During gentle breath retention after exhalation or inhalation, gently contract the perineum / pelvic floor upward. Keep abdominal wall relaxed.
